Summary

On August 21, 1956, at about 11:50 a.m., a civilian in Denver, Colorado observed one object in the sky. The object was oval or shaped like a coffee saucer and appeared white. At first it looked like a bird and was circling slowly. The object hovered for 2 to 3 seconds, circled for about 2 minutes, then ascended. When sunrays hit it, the object gave off reflections like a mirror. The sighting lasted 3 to 4 minutes total. The observer was in west Denver and saw the object heading southwest at about a 45 degree angle. The Air Force evaluation noted the report was inconsistent and the observer was a believer in saucers, with no data conflicting with analysis as aircraft.
