Summary

On the night of June 21, 1954, witnesses at Delray Beach, Florida, reported a bright object over the ocean. The sighting lasted about 12 seconds. Two civilians, described as reliable, saw the object. It was round and disc shaped with a dome like structure on top, about the size of a basketball in appearance.

The object first hovered, then tilted toward the witnesses and seemed to spin. It started moving slowly east over the ocean with a wobbly motion, then straightened and sped away out of sight. No sound was reported.

The report came through a nearby Air Force base. The Air Force record card listed the case as astronomical and noted it was probably a meteor.
