Summary

On August 15, 1952, a civilian in Dallas, Texas reported seeing a white light with a light shape. The object had no distinguishable shape, appeared larger than a navigation light, and made no vapor or trail and no sound. The witness observed it moving a little faster than normal aircraft travel but not as fast as a meteor. The object wavered on course. The sighting lasted approximately twenty seconds and occurred about ninety-five degrees above the horizon, traveling northeast at about one-half mile west of the observer. The object disappeared in approximately twenty degrees above the horizon northwest of the observer. No physical evidence or photographs were obtained. The Air Force found no basis to warrant further investigation due to insufficient data.
