Summary

On October 15, 1956, a civilian near Cunningham, Tennessee reported two sightings of one round, orange object about the size of a silver dollar. The first sighting lasted about twenty minutes and the second about four minutes. The witness said the object's light came on when it was moving and went out when it stopped. The object moved from south to north and was first seen at about 45 degrees elevation.

The report noted this was the third sighting from the Cunningham area, with others in August. The Air Force said the shape, size, light, and duration indicated the first sighting was a balloon. The conclusion was possibly a balloon.
