Summary

On January 28, 1953, at about 6:05 p.m., an airman saw a group of objects near Corona, California. The witness was a technical sergeant driving on a state highway about 5 miles southwest of Corona.

Five round, ball-shaped objects were seen, each estimated at about 25 feet in diameter. They were outlined with a green-colored illumination. The objects were first seen in a loose V formation, then changed into an in-line formation as they passed nearly overhead. The two end objects glowed red while the formation changed, then returned to green.

The formation was smooth and made no sound. The objects were estimated to be moving about 150 miles per hour at about 2,000 feet above the terrain. The sighting lasted about 12 minutes. The witness stopped his car and got out to watch as the objects moved from southeast to northwest.

Weather was very clear, though dark. The record card lists the conclusion as unidentified.
