Project Blue Book Case File

Cincinnati, OhioJuly 1957

Unidentified

Summary

On the evening of July 18, 1957, in Cincinnati, Ohio, witnesses reported seeing several bright objects in the night sky. The sighting began around 9:30 p.m. and lasted approximately 45 minutes. The objects appeared as bright stars with a bluish color, and witnesses described two of them flying parallel to each other. A third object, described as pinkish red, followed behind the others.

The witnesses filled out detailed Air Force questionnaires about what they saw. However, the information they provided contained contradictions that made it difficult for investigators to reach firm conclusions about what the objects were. The exact details about the objects' movements, sizes, and other characteristics were unclear or conflicting across the accounts.

Because of the limited and inconsistent information in the witness statements, the Air Force classified this case in the "insufficient data for evaluation" category. No definite explanation was offered in the file, and the case remained officially unidentified.

The full case file is reproduced below as held by the National Archives, comprising 10 pages of documents.
