Insufficient Data

Summary

On December 18, 1960, civilians in Cincinnati, Ohio, reported two objects at 2220 (about 5:20 p.m. local). The witnesses saw two objects moving very fast from southeast to northwest, just above the horizon, parallel to it. They were described as bright yellow lines with an optic length of about 4 feet, spaced some distance apart. The sky was clear and cloudless, and the observation was toward the setting sun. The witnesses did not specify the duration or how the objects disappeared. The Air Force asked for more information but received no reply. The card noted the limited information allowed no conclusion and classed the case as insufficient data, adding it was very probable the sighting was of contrails.
