Summary
On August 3, 1952, in Chico, California, a large round white glowing object was observed moving slowly at low altitude. The object made no sound and was watched from 2:50 p.m. for two to three minutes. It was seen visually from the ground at Chico AAF post, on top of Hotel Oaks. The object moved north, then stopped, then moved northeast before disappearing. The estimated altitude was below 2,400 feet. The Air Force evaluation was unidentified.
