Summary

On May 11, 1961, a civilian saw an object near Centerville, Ohio, in the morning hours. The sighting lasted about 5 to 10 minutes. The object moved toward the east.

The object was a bright light, golden in color and about the size of a star. It was seen in the north at about 20 degrees elevation. It hovered, then moved slowly and picked up speed as it moved.

The Air Force sent the witness a questionnaire for more information, but it was returned blank. The case was listed as insufficient data.
