Summary

On August 1, 1953, in Centerville, Idaho, a witness and his wife saw an object at 2:00 p.m. in a bright, hazy sky. The object was a brilliant milk-white disc flying low over Sharonville, Ohio. It had a tendency to wobble and made a sharp cracking sound. It then turned left and disappeared. At 4:00 p.m., a similar object passed directly over a G.E. plant and stopped. Four witnesses watched it. One witness at the plant said he and others were watching a low-flying plane going south when a blinding light suddenly appeared coming from the east. The object was a vivid oval shape, looking like the moon with burning impressions. The witness heard yelling about a flying saucer. The disc stopped abruptly overhead. After it stopped, it looked like a worm squirming. The disc was brilliant, and the witness said his eyes were good. The disc left a short, squat, [illegible] impression in its wake. The sighting was hard to describe. The witness gave an arrow to the letter to support the letter. The disc overheard showed its brilliance of the object. The object picked up momentum, looking like an egg, then moved very fast. The witness said the speed of a jet. The observer was very high but was very distinct in a cloudless clear blue sky.
