Summary

On October 9, 1955, at about 1942 (7:42 p.m.) local time, a civilian saw a light over Baltimore, Maryland, in the Coventry area of northeast Baltimore. The sighting lasted about one minute.

The witness described a bright white light that traveled in a flat path from west to east. The object was about the size of a star and as bright as a star. It made no noise and left no trail. After about a minute it disappeared over the horizon. The local filter center reported no knowledge of the object. The weather at a nearby airport was a west-southwest wind at about 8 knots, 57 degrees, no clouds, and 20 miles visibility.

The Air Force record card lists the case as possible aircraft.
