Insufficient Data

Summary

On November 24, 1956, an airline pilot saw one object near Aberdeen, Maryland. The witness had flown as an airline pilot for about 20 years. The object was watched for about five minutes while he flew a commercial flight at about 8,000 feet.

The report described one object like a rocket. It appeared directly across the pilot's flight path, about 30 to 40 miles in front. Its estimated path would bring it to the ground east of Aberdeen. The pilot also reported he saw a fire in the approximate area of contact for about ten minutes after the estimated point and time of contact.

The Air Force record card lists the case as insufficient data. Project 10073 was the Air Force's official record system for reports of unidentified flying objects.
