Summary

On April 1, 1958, a cigar-shaped object with a bluish color was sighted in the Atlantic Ocean near Panama. The master of the SS Coole reported seeing the object at a high altitude, heading north around 1:40 p.m. The object was positioned at 3 degrees 20 minutes north, 54 degrees 30 minutes west. Another witness reported a bright unidentified light high in the sky at approximately 2:10 p.m. near his home at 25 degrees 45 minutes north, 82 degrees 00 minutes west. The object approached from the north and made a semi-circular arc toward the southwest before disappearing. Visibility was unlimited. The object did not appear to be an aircraft or a falling star. The Air Force evaluation was listed as insufficient data for evaluation.
