Summary
On the morning of January 9, 1960, a civilian in West Alexandria, Ohio, saw a bright light in the southeast at about 6:00 a.m. The witness watched it for about 25 minutes, until roughly 6:35 a.m.
The person at first thought it was a star but said it moved around. The light was at about 130 degrees azimuth on a cheap compass. No other details were given.
The Air Force sent questionnaires for more information, but they were not returned. The record card says the object was probably a star, but without the additional information no evaluation could be made. The case is listed as insufficient data. This was part of Project 10073, the Air Force's official record for unidentified flying object reports.
