Insufficient Data

Summary

On August 13, 1954, an object was reported near Stavern, Norway. The Air Force learned of the sighting through a newspaper clipping, so it was a second hand report. The clipping did not show the name of the paper or its date.

The news story said about fifty officers and men saw the object. It was round with a flat lower surface and looked like silver or aluminum. It stayed in one place for about seven minutes. Then it disappeared at a speed said to be many times the speed of sound.

The Air Force record listed the conclusion as insufficient data. The case was filed as part of Project 10073, the Air Force's official record for unidentified flying object reports.
