Insufficient Data

Summary

In the spring of 1954, an object was reported on two occasions near Stalingrad, in the Soviet Union. The report was filed under Project 10073, the Air Force's official record for unidentified flying object reports.

On each occasion, the witness saw an object travel from one horizon to the other. The flight caused a large amount of vibration in the air, and a screeching, whistling noise went with it. The witness said it was different from an artillery shell.

The Air Force concluded the object was probably a rocket or a shell of some kind, based on the flight path and the duration.
