Summary
On September 15, 1958, at 3:05 p.m., a civilian in St. Joseph, Michigan reported seeing one object. The object was round and the size of a baseball at arm's length. It was gold in color with a tail the same size as the object itself. The object moved very slowly to the south. Winds were from the south at 14 knots. The observation lasted 21 minutes. The Air Force noted that elevation and azimuth of the object were not reported. Without positional information, no conclusion could be reached. The Air Force suggested it was possibly a comet, planet, or balloon. The official evaluation was Unidentified.
