Project Blue Book Case File
SSW of Enola, Pa., March 1958March 1958
Summary
The OCR quality of pages 8 through 10 is too degraded to support a reliable summary. Of the readable content, the clearest information appears on the early pages: an object was reported as "extremely high, moving in [a] radius of 2 ft, light varying in color blue pink white" near Enola, Pennsylvania, around 2045 (8:45 p.m.) on 23 March 1958. The report was submitted to air traffic control at Middletown, Pennsylvania. However, subsequent Air Force messages show confusion about the report's origin: Olmsted Air Force Base stated it had "no record of a UFO originating from this station on 23 March 58," and later messages requesting the original documentation indicate that the file information had been destroyed. Without access to clear case summaries, interviews, investigation findings, or formal conclusions from the readable sections, a complete and accurate narrative cannot be constructed. The 10-page case file is held by the National Archives.
