Project Blue Book Case File

South Korea, April 1954April 1954

Insufficient Data

Summary

Between April 15 and 19, 1954, at various places in South Korea, four separate reports came from four sources. Witnesses included ground and air observers. The objects were seen as swift streaks lasting only a few seconds. Air Force analysts noted that these were probably Lyrid meteors, which can be seen at night from about April 15 to May 1. They added that such meteors are often bluish or greenish. The official conclusion was probably astronomical, meteors. The case is filed under Project 10073, the Air Force's official record for unidentified flying object reports.
