Summary

On the night of November 26, 1957, an investigator near Seoul, Korea reported one brightly lit object hovering over a mountain. The witness, described as a trained investigator, said the object looked about two feet across and six feet long, tapering off at the tail. It gave off enough light to show nearby trees. The object was first seen at an angle, then descended for a few seconds and disappeared behind the mountain. The whole event lasted only about two to three seconds. The Air Force recorded the case under Project 10073, its official record for unidentified flying object reports. The card lists the object as possibly astronomical. It explains the hovering as an illusion created by an object moving away along the line of sight, and notes that all the traits of a meteor were present.
