Summary

On October 13, 1954, at 9:26 a.m. in San Antonio, Texas, a civilian witness reported observing one round object with a hissing noise like escaping steam. The object first appeared as a ball of fire, then divided into two brilliant white lights traveling at 1500 miles per hour toward the southwest. The observation lasted 12 to 14 seconds. The Air Force concluded the sighting was aircraft based on the sound description.
