Summary

On July 23, 1956, civilians and military personnel in San Antonio, Texas reported seeing one round, very bright object about the size of a dime at arm's length. The object was silvery-white and thin. It appeared in the sky and moved almost directly over the observer, then halted for a few seconds before turning and disappearing toward the southeast. About five minutes later, the object appeared in the southeast and moved on a straight line to the northeast, where it disappeared again. Ten minutes after that, the object moved on a straight course to the southwest where it disappeared. The sighting lasted about 1 minute for the first viewing and 2nd and 3rd sightings of 1 minute each. The Air Force evaluation was unidentified.
