Summary

On February 2, 1957, a military witness near Presidio, California, reported one object during daytime hours. The case was logged under Project 10073, the Air Force's official record for unidentified flying object reports. The object was oval in shape and very bright. It moved at high speed.

The report said radar contacts were made at three locations and showed aircraft, but these could not be confirmed by the visual sightings. No data was given on weather or clouds. The area of the sighting was near heavy air traffic.

From the limited information, the Air Force concluded the object observed was probably an aircraft.
