Project Blue Book Case File
Prescott, ArizonaOctober 1959
Summary
On the night of October 22, 1959, a pilot flying a C-119 about 10 miles west of Prescott, Arizona, reported an object. The sighting was made from the air.
The object was seen as a light. It was red and blue, then turned green and disappeared. It was to the west of Prescott on a heading of about 270 degrees. No sound was heard. The witness did not give the object's size, the duration, its motion, or how it disappeared.
The sky was clear with visibility of 15 miles or more. Because the witness gave little detail for analysis, the Air Force listed the case as insufficient data. This was part of Project 10073, the Air Force's official record for unidentified flying object reports.
