Summary

On August 12, 1952, a railroad agent in Ain Sefra, Algeria observed a ball of fire suddenly appearing against a background of clouds. The object raced across the sky from east to west, leaving behind a luminous pink trail. As it moved, the object grew brighter. It stopped suddenly, became bright red, and seemed to explode, but the observer heard no noise. The sighting occurred in Oran, Algeria. The Air Force evaluation is listed as unknown.
