Summary

On July 8, 1959, two men in Moraine, Ohio saw one object described as the burning tail section of an aircraft. The object moved toward the east. The sky was dark with no trace of daylight. This was a civilian, ground visual report.

The report was filed on Project 10073, the Air Force's official record for unidentified flying object reports. The Air Force concluded the object was probably a jet aircraft with its afterburner on.
