Summary

On a night in August 1960, a witness in McComb, Ohio saw a bright object with a greenish tinge streaking across the sky. The object appeared round and large, and it moved at very high speed. The sighting lasted only a few seconds.

The Air Force investigator who filed the case noted in the summary that the description was typical of a meteor, a chunk of rock from space that burns up as it enters the atmosphere. The case was marked as having insufficient data for evaluation in the official conclusions section.
