Summary

On August 29, 1956, a civilian observer in Marshalltown, Iowa reported seeing three round objects about the size of a pea at arm's length. The objects had red and green lights revolving around a white light. They were sighted at 15 degrees azimuth and moved slightly higher in the sky over thirty-five minutes. The witness observed them both with the naked eye and through 7x50 binoculars. The objects were in orbit. The Air Force evaluation concluded the sighting was probably Mars.
