Summary

On December 1, 1957, a civilian near Marietta, Georgia reported three round red objects, each two or three times as big as a star. The objects were lined up, set a great distance apart, and appeared motionless high in the sky to the east of Atlanta. They stayed in view for two or three minutes. The sky was clear. The Air Force recorded the case under Project 10073, its official record for unidentified flying object reports. The card lists the conclusion as a balloon. Officers noted that the report of three objects was probably an illusion caused by the movement of one balloon.
