Summary

On May 14, 1952, at 10:50 p.m. local time, four civilians driving a car about 12 miles southwest of Malung, Sawan, Sweden, reported seeing an illuminated white aircraft-shaped object. The object moved from northwest to southeast very quickly and appeared to approach the ground. The sighting lasted 10 seconds. No smoke or fire was observed, and the height could not be estimated. The route appeared to approach the earth somewhat. The Swedish Defense Staff received no other observations or information on the object. The witnesses estimated that it was a meteor.
