Summary

On June 22 or 23, 1954, a civilian woman near Madeira, Ohio, watched an object she thought was the same as one reported in newspapers from a Columbus sighting. She saw it at about 10:15 p.m. on June 23.

The object came from the northwest and moved toward the west. It disappeared behind some trees in the distance. She said she traced it around for a while before it vanished.

The report reached the Air Force by phone after press and radio coverage of a related incident. The Air Force record card said the object could be a balloon, but there was not enough data for a firm conclusion.
