Summary
On October 18, 1952, a civilian man in Macon, Georgia reported observing a star-shaped yellow light that flickered in the same position for 45 minutes. The observer worked at a Macon radio station. The sighting was ground-visual. The report noted a radar release from Robins at 8:30 p.m. The investigation memo from October 20, 1952 indicates the object was observed with a star shape and yellow static light visible in the trail or behind it. Visual facts noted clear and unlimited visibility, temperature 56 degrees Fahrenheit, and deficient G1 barometer reading. The observer was Herbert [illegible], a radio station employee in Macon. No meteorological activity was found to account for the sighting. No aircraft or unidentified craft was available. Air traffic in the general area at the time of sighting was checked.
