Summary

On April 14, 1952, near LaCrosse, Wisconsin, an airline pilot reported unidentified flying objects. The Air Force record lists the time as about 1838 (6:38 p.m.).

The witness described several light colored objects flying in a V formation. They were said to travel at high speed and to change positions within the formation. The objects made straight and level movements.

Documents in the file note that the captain of a commercial airliner and others witnessed the event, but little follow-up was done. Because key details such as the number of witnesses and the length of the sighting were never gathered, the case could not be firmly explained. On the Air Force record card, the case was marked Unknown.
