Insufficient Data

Summary

On March 24, 1953, at 1329 (1:29 p.m., use of the Z time group), a civilian reported an object near Borstall, Kent, England. The report was sent by a U.S. Air Force fighter wing. One person saw the object.

The object appeared as a trail of fire, yellow in color. It flew straight and level at an estimated speed of about 600 miles per hour. Its shape could not be determined. It disappeared into a cloud. The report noted this was the fifth unidentified object reported in that area in the past 12 months. The observer was facing west. The sighting lasted about two minutes.

There was ground mist with a clear sky. There were no photos and no physical evidence. The Air Force noted it sounded like a meteor except for the long duration, and concluded the cause was insufficient data for evaluation.
