Summary

On October 1, 1954, a civilian witness on the Island of Terceira in the Azores observed one object for four to five minutes. The object was described as a stove pipe with a bulge in the center and short wings. It measured approximately three meters long and one meter in height, with wings about one meter in length. The object was gray with non-rounded wing tips and made a noise similar to gargling. Yellow spots appeared on the ground as the object approached. The observation was made from the ground during daylight. The Air Force concluded the sighting was unidentified.
