Summary

On April 28, 1952, in Homewood, Illinois, two civilian women reported an unusual object in the sky. The sighting happened about 1700 (5:00 p.m.) and lasted about three minutes.

The witnesses described one white object that resembled a parachute. It appeared to be circling a large silver airplane. The aircraft was traveling southeast at about the same altitude as the object. The exact distance and altitude were unknown.

The object and the plane were watched for about three minutes before they disappeared from view. The Fifth Army office that prepared the summary stated it did not plan to investigate the matter further. No conclusion was marked on the record card.
