Summary

On August 18, 1957, a civilian near Hawthorne, Nevada, told the Air Force he had seen objects in the sky over about a month. He reported more than 2,000 objects in that time. He said he was sure they were saucers. He said they moved at various speeds and in different directions. The record card for Project 10073, the Air Force's official record for unidentified flying object reports, lists the observer as unreliable. The card notes there was no report in the file. The Air Force did not give a clear cause for the sighting.
