Germany, March 1948 - Incident Number: 118March 1948

Insufficient Data

Summary

On 29 March 1948 in Germany, a civilian scientist reported observing a white point of light moving at fast speed with no sound and no trail at an approximate height of 14 kilometers. The sighting lasted just over one hour and the object moved in a generally southward direction. The Air Force found the information insufficient for a definite conclusion. An investigator noted that the only possible astronomical explanation, a slow-moving meteor, was very unlikely.
