Summary
On August 6, 1956, at 5:21 a.m. GMT, military observers at Fallon Navy Station, Nevada, reported a white and silver object with a distinctive shape. The object had knobs on its surface and was observed to have two protruding humps in front. It was estimated at approximately 1,000 feet altitude and 20,000 feet distance from the observers, with a calculated speed of 20,000 miles per hour. The sighting lasted 25 seconds. The observation indicates the object may have been in a dive, and a possible configuration under review suggests it could be undergoing a test.
