Summary

On May 12, 1954, between about 12:45 a.m. and 6:10 a.m., from the east side of a hangar at Washington National Airport in Washington, D.C., three Air Police observers reported objects. The objects were round and white, like a street light about one foot across. They flew in formation of twos and made right-angle turns. The objects appeared and disappeared three separate times. Each sighting lasted up to 45 seconds before the objects faded. The men were experienced at this duty, and the intelligence officer felt some reliability should be attached to the sightings. The men had been discussing meteors and saucers just before the sightings. The Air Force listed the report as unevaluated.
