Summary

On August 27, 1954, two observers reported objects over Dorchester, Massachusetts. The sighting was made at 1:32 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time and lasted about 2 minutes. One observer wore polaroid glasses.

The witnesses saw about seven objects flying in a line, with a leader in front. Each was shaped like a tear drop and was as large as a high flying bomber. They were white and changed to blue as they disappeared toward the northwest. The objects showed no exhaust or trail. They moved slowly at first, then sped up. A high altitude weather balloon was also in the air at the time and was seen by the witnesses.

The Air Force record listed the conclusion as unidentified. The case was filed under Project 10073, the Air Force's official record for unidentified flying object reports.
