Summary

On June 19, 1957, at about 1:30 a.m. local time, an observer in Dayton, Ohio reported a sighting through Civil Defense. The report was an extract from a senior duty officer's report.

The witness reported a bright orange light to the south southeast of the area. The light then disappeared, but a glow remained. The duty officer could not see anything himself.

The Air Force record (Project 10073, its official file for unidentified flying object reports) lists the case as insufficient data.
