Summary

On June 10, 1956, in Dayton, Ohio, an 11 year old boy reported one object at about 9:55 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. It was a ground visual sighting. The witness saw it with the naked eye.

The object was described as a ball of fire. It was brighter than the sky. It moved to the south.

The sighting was checked with military flight service at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. Officials believed the object was a jet aircraft. The Project 10073 record card, the official record for unidentified flying object reports, noted that there was very little information from the young witness and listed the conclusion as insufficient data.
