Summary

On the evening of March 19, 1953, at around 6:30 p.m., a resident of Crystal Lake, Ohio, spotted two saucer-shaped objects in the sky. The witness was called outside by a family member to look at them. The objects were traveling at a slow speed from the Crystal Lake area toward nearby Dayton, at an estimated altitude of about 35,000 feet. They appeared to be roughly one inch apart when viewed from the ground, and the witness saw no vapor trail behind them.

The objects moved in a straight line across the sky. The witness watched them for about one hour before they passed from view toward Dayton. The witness estimated the objects were moving at a slow rate of speed and could describe them as resembling saucers. When asked what the objects might have been, the witness suggested they appeared like saucers from below. When asked to estimate the distance, the witness placed the objects at 35,000 feet altitude, traveling over the Ledwyny area toward Dayton.

The Air Force concluded that the objects "could have been aircraft at high altitude." No other witnesses are listed in the file, and no photographs or physical evidence was collected. The case contains the witness questionnaire and basic case information, but no detailed investigation report, radar confirmation, or weather analysis appears in the available records.
