Summary
On March 15, 1959, near Cheshire, Ohio, a civilian reported seeing strange lights at night. The account was submitted on a tape recording.
The witness was walking across a hill in the rain. After the rain stopped, he saw a strange light about 50 feet over a house, then another low object over the road that took off fast and then stopped. Frightened, he ran to a friend's house, but the object was gone by the time the friend came out. Walking home, he saw a luminous, oblong object about five to ten feet off the ground with a cockpit-like top that seemed to rotate. It was white like the moon and shot several beams of light toward the ground, one striking his shoulder. There was no sound. The object left, slowed, then went out of sight.
A second man reported an object on March 16, 1959, while driving home. He noticed radio static and dimming car lights and saw the bottom of an object overhead. The Air Force said the information was not enough to reach any conclusion.
