Summary

On June 28, 1956, at approximately 7:30 p.m. local time, a civilian in Charleston, West Virginia reported seeing a half-moon shaped object the size of a nickel held at arm's length. The object was white and changed to bluish in color. The witness observed it through 7x50 power binoculars for four to five minutes. While the object was blinking, it appeared white in color and while blinking it was bluish. The object moved in a northerly direction if at all. Ground fog and breaks in the overcast were present. The Air Force evaluator noted that the object was possibly caused by either a searchlight or a spotlight of some sort, possibly a searchlight. The evaluation was listed as unknown.

10. BRIEF SUMMARY OF SIGHTING
One half moon shape object the size of a nickel held at arms length, color of white and changing to bluish. Object was sighted through 7x50 power binoculars for a period of 4-5 minutes. While object was blinking it appeared white in color & while it was on continuous it bluish in color.
