Summary

On October 15, 1952, a witness near Bladensburg, Maryland, reported seeing three round, bluish white objects in the night sky. The report came through the Maryland State Police and was passed to the Air Force.

The objects flew in a "V" formation. The witness estimated their speed at about 100 miles per hour and their altitude at about 1,000 feet. Each object looked about as large as a big aircraft. The sighting lasted about five and a half minutes.

The case card lists the source as a 15 year old boy. In Project 10073, the Air Force's official record system for unidentified flying object reports, the Air Force marked this case as probably a balloon. A note also called the source doubtful.
