Summary

On the night of September 25, 1954, a civilian reported objects over Biloxi, Mississippi. The witness was a radar instructor at Keesler Air Force Base. The sighting lasted about 10 to 12 minutes.

The objects were round and changed from pure white to dull orange. At first there was one object. It was very bright, then quickly dimmed and shrank. A second similar object then appeared suddenly, followed by two more, making four objects in a box formation. They flew from the southeast toward the north northwest and disappeared behind buildings. There was slight thunderstorm activity in the area.

The Air Force record listed the conclusion as probably aircraft. A local airman said he heard a jet and saw an aircraft's navigation light pass along the same flight path at about the same time. The case was filed under Project 10073, the Air Force's official record for unidentified flying object reports.
