Insufficient Data

Summary

On March 28, 1948, at 4:30 p.m., a former German guided missile expert in Berlin, Germany, reported seeing a white point of light moving from south to north at approximately 14 kilometers altitude. The object was moving quite fast, produced no sound, and left no exhaust trail. The sighting lasted 48 seconds. The weather was clear at the time. No photographs were available, and the only witnesses were the observer and his wife. The Air Force later classified this sighting with the file indicating that the evidence on hand precluded any definitive explanation. This declassified case file is reproduced below as held by the National Archives, with 80 pages on microfilm T1206, Roll 2.
