Summary
On November 13, 1957, at 1:00 a.m., a civilian witness in Alpine, Arizona reported a round, white object about the size of a nickel. The object moved downward and shifted one degree to the west while in sight. The observation was ground-based and visual. The Air Force concluded the sighting was probably astronomical. An astro plot indicated Venus was in the southwest at the time of sighting, though the observer did not state the exact direction the object was sighted.
